Sustainability at GAR: Growing together with purpose
At Golden Agri-Resources (GAR), sustainability isn’t a side effort – it’s how we do business.
For nearly three decades, we’ve built our company around a simple truth: a successful agribusiness depends on the health of the environment and the strength of the communities around it.
That’s why we work every day to turn ambition into action, and action into lasting impact.
and make sure we’re here for the long run.

Introducing Collective for Impact
That’s what Collective for Impact, our new Sustainability Framework, is all about – setting out what we aim for and how we’ll make it real alongside the people who matter most: our farmers, our customers, and the partners we work with every day.
This is our pathway to becoming the partner people turn to when they want to drive positive change.
Why We Created the Sustainability Framework
That’s why we’re refreshing our sustainability strategy with Collective for Impact.
It reflects a shift in mindset:
- From reducing harm to actively maximising good.
- From doing what’s expected to setting our own course in sustainability.
Importantly, this isn’t a replacement for our GAR Social and Environmental Policy (GSEP), launched in 2015.
GSEP remains our foundation, guiding our policies, procedures, and everyday decisions. The Sustainability Framework builds on this, sharpening our focus on where we can create the greatest impact – and who we can do it with.
