How do you turn transparency and accountability into tangible recognition? At GAR, we embed sustainability into every part of our operations and make sure our disclosures tell the full story.

This year, that commitment earned GAR two honours at the 11th Asia Sustainability Reporting Awards (ASRA) 2025:

Asia Sustainability Reporting Awards (ASRA) 2025 in Singapore.
Platinum for Asia’s Best Supply Chain Reporting
Asia Sustainability Reporting Awards (ASRA) 2025 in Singapore.
Bronze for Asia’s Best Environmental Impact Reporting

GAR was also named a finalist for Asia’s Best Sustainability Report (Governance) and Asia’s Best Sustainability Report (CEO Letter), underscoring the depth and quality of our disclosures.

What is ASRA?

The Asia Sustainability Reporting Awards (ASRA), organised by CSRWorks International, is Asia’s most prestigious recognition platform for corporate sustainability reporting.

Entries are evaluated through a rigorous multi-stage process involving peer reviews and stakeholder assessments, with submissions measured against leading global standards such as GRI (Global Reporting Initiative), ISSB (International Sustainability Standards Board), and TCFD (Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures).

This year’s edition drew participation from top companies across 17 countries, highlighting the region’s growing emphasis on credible and transparent reporting.

Why it matters

Foong Yuh Chien (right), Head of ESG Reporting & Disclosures at GAR, receives the award at the 11th Asia Sustainability Reporting Awards (ASRA) 2025 in Singapore.

These awards reflect the integrity of our data, the robustness of our processes and the strength of our collective effort.

“These achievements highlight the strength of our reporting and the genuine progress we are making across the business,” said Anita Neville, Chief Sustainability & Communications Officer. “They reflect the dedication of our teams who embody our Collective for Impact approach – working together to embed sustainability at every level of GAR’s growth story.”

Behind these wins are many hands, from field teams collecting data, to sustainability analysts drawing insights, to designers packaging the narrative.

“It’s the hard work of our teams across the business, from the field to the boardroom, that ensures sustainability is embedded in every part of what we do,” mentioned Foong Yuh Chien, Head of ESG Reporting & Disclosure. “We will continue to raise the bar on transparency and impact as we progress towards our sustainability goals.”

Sustainability reporting as a catalyst for change

At GAR, sustainability reporting is more than a compliance exercise – it’s a tool for accountability and improvement. Our reports capture how initiatives in responsible sourcing, environmental stewardship, and community empowerment translate into measurable outcomes.

Recognition from ASRA reaffirms our ongoing leadership in sustainable palm oil and our commitment to transparent, data-driven reporting.

As we look to the future, we will continue to strengthen our disclosures and advance responsible business practices that create lasting value for people, planet, and partners.
