Ever wonder how quality feed is made? A day in the life of the GoNutri team

What does it take to drive innovation and sustainability in the animal feed industry? At GoNutri, it’s all in a day’s work.

Meet Alicia Suarez, Pablo Arranz, and Luis Baez – three dedicated professionals who bring unique expertise and passion to GoNutri. From technical sales to quality control and regional management, they may have different roles, yet they share the same goal: helping GoNutri grow while keeping their clients at the heart of everything they do.

Get a glimpse into how their typical day looks like and how they contribute to GoNutri’s mission – providing high-quality, nutritious animal feed while doing right by farmers, animals, and the planet.

Where nutrition meets expertise

Alicia Suarez

Alicia Suarez starts her day like any other – with a focus on her customers. As a Technical Sales Manager at GoNutri, Alicia’s role goes beyond simply making sales.

Her background as a veterinarian, paired with her deep product knowledge, primes her with the ability to design nutrition solutions to help nutritionists, technical managers and their livestock thrive. “Each client is different, and so are their animals’ needs,” Alicia explains.

Raised in a small Swiss town, she learnt the art of connecting with people and understanding their needs early on by selling raffle tickets at local parties. While it may seem worlds apart from what she does now, those early experiences taught her how to communicate with different kinds of people – skills she still uses today.

Mornings for Alicia often involve catching up on the latest market updates or preparing detailed presentations on the newest nutritional research. But Alicia shines most when she’s in the field, talking to customers or technical manager face-to-face. Whether she’s walking through a feed exhibition discussing feed formulations or solving a specific technical challenge, Alicia makes sure every conversation is personal and informative.

One of Alicia’s most rewarding experiences was expanding into the French market. “It was a big challenge. Between the language barrier and limited market knowledge, we had our work cut out for us,” Alicia recalls. But through research, persistence, and building trust with local feed mills, Alicia and the GoNutri team now hold a growing foothold in France.

For Alicia, success goes beyond closing deals. It’s also about building trust and offering additional value that genuinely helps her clients and their animals to thrive. She loves knowing that what she does makes a real difference in their lives.

Sustainability at the core

Pablo Arranz

While Alicia is out in the field, Pablo Arranz’s day revolves around something equally important: ensuring that GoNutri’s products meet quality standards and stay in line with sustainability goals. As GoNutri’s Quality and Sustainability Manager for Europe and Latin America, Pablo’s work spans everything from certifications to product traceability.

“We make sure that everything—from the feed products to the storage and transport—meets both our standards and what customers expect,” he says. With GoNutri expanding, he’s also focused on streamlining processes across regions.

Pablo (left) and his colleague, Oscar, bring their commitment to sustainability and quality to everything they do. From product traceability to regulatory alignment, they’re driven by a shared passion for tackling the tough issues.

For Pablo, time management is key. “I prioritise high-impact tasks—things that have the most direct benefit to our team and customers,” he says.

One project that stands out for Pablo was helping GoNutri meet the new European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR). It’s a complex undertaking that demands non-stop communication with suppliers, but it’s one that Pablo embraces. “I enjoy the complexity. Knowing we’re making strides to real, positive change in sustainability keeps me motivated,” he admits.

Outside of work, Pablo channels the same focus and energy into his personal life. A passionate mountain biker and former footballer, he spends his weekends cycling through rugged trails, pushing himself both physically and mentally. Just as he thrives in overcoming professional challenges, Pablo finds joy in conquering tough terrain, always seeking new limits to improve upon.

Building relationships, one client at a time

Luis Baez

For Luis Baez, success in his role as Regional Manager for Southeast Europe is all about relationships. His day starts by reviewing market updates and refining sales strategies, but his real focus is on his clients. “Our industry is dynamic, so making sure clients know they can rely on us is essential,” Luis says.

He makes it a point to meet clients face-to-face as often as possible – whether over a quick coffee or a longer meeting. These personal interactions have been key to growing GoNutri’s presence in Italy, a market where the brand was virtually unknown just two years ago. “Now, we’re a well-known name with a significant market share,” he says proudly, indicating that GoNutri has successfully captured a large portion of the Italian market compared to other players in the industry.

For Luis, it’s not just about doing business, but also about being there for his clients when they need him. His approach to building trust has turned many business contacts into lasting friendships. “When you’ve earned that trust, the business follows,” he explains.

When Luis isn’t busy with work, he finds peace and focus through outdoor activities, particularly hiking. The solitude of the outdoors helps him recharge after a busy week, allowing him to clear his mind, refocus and energise himself for the challenges ahead.
